Steelhead were good to us this year on the Grande Ronde, especially early on. Dave spent from about September 20th until October 20th there, and not having but a couple of days for himself, he did manage to hook into about 6 fish.

When we're not out guiding, or floating on some river with clients, we always have things to keep us busy. Dave returned home on Saturday only to leave again on Monday to guide for elk at the beautiful Diamond D Ranch. This is the absolute end to the season, which began in April.

Rhonda had yet another hip surgery, this time it was a revision due to a manufacturers defect. 3 operations in 3 years has been difficult because it means she can't do what she loves to do and that is guide with David.

The season is coming to an end, just about 2 weeks left, then on to guiding for Elk in the Frank Church Wilderness for Diamond D Ranch. Whew!!! It's been an interesting season...busy, but nonetheless very interesting!

We're still here on the Grande Ronde and the steelhead are here with us. 3 more floats back to back have us running for provisions and back out on the river. Fortunately, the weather has been nice, but as the season ends so will the nice weather.
